A couple of people have said that they have not been able to post a comment, I do not know why, but you can always email me.

Working for the Weekend
I made it through the first full week of school. It is good to see what we are going to be doing and get into a routine. I have been working with the teacher in my class to help the students that are weaker. They are all on one side of the room so that I can focus on them, and answer questions. Unfortunally, some of them still speak to me in Hindi, they have not realized that I can not understand them. I repeat the same thing over and over and there are still blank stares out in the class. But they all still make me laugh.
The boys are all so cute!!! I love being with them and miss them when I am not around. I have been helping them with their work duties. We pick weeds to feed the cows. We also pick food that they use for dinner. We picked some kind of weed, which looked like spinach, and ate it the next day for dinner. Actully, we do have milk, even though I posted that we did not. It is so fresh that when we get it, it has still been warm. We have to take it back and boil it three times. The boys never complain and all work very hard. It is good for me because I am able to spend one on one time with them. It is harder when there are 15 of them aasking you a million things at their house. It is also amazing how smart they are, and what they remember. They all give me the cutest looks when I call them, "buttercups and my little peanuts". I found the paper the other day and saw that we have a new president. I had no clue, I really feel that I am living in NeverLand .
I has been fun getting to know the other girls that I live with. My room mate and I made up fairytale characters for all the people that are around us. The guys that help clean the school are all the sven dwarfs. We want to draw them on the wall in our room, since someone has taken a crayon and drawn random things all over the lpace. For example, we have a big K and a kite on our door. I will post pictures of the room hopefully next time. We might be getting internet on the base, which will be really helpful and than we will have Skype.

slingshots and sugar cane
This is only the second time that I have been able to get online. We have all been really busy. We go to school from 9 to 2. I am assisting in second grade, teaching Moral Science ( Biblestudy), and art every other Saturday. I teach science in second grade, but it is hard because they do not understand English. They are told something three times in English and once in Hindi and than they understand. It is hard, but I am excited to help the teacher with new ideas. She always wants me to talk about how it is in America. After school we help hte boys with their homework. They have work duties, picking up sticks and working out in the fields. That is our time to get done anything that we need or want to do. Then we go back and do devotions with the boys, again help with homework, eat, read stories and go to bed. Being with the boys is amazing. I love reading to the boys, I read them Little Bear, which my mom would read to me. I started Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They really like reading new books every night. I have spent the most time with the smaller boys. They are all so cute and have the best personalities. I have learned a couple of their names and got a sheet that Amanda made with their names and pictures, which will help. There is no place that I rather be than here! Even though I take showers with my boots on.
A girl that lives near the school. She was helping her Mom water the fields with her little bucket.

no shower, no milk, no salad dressing, no problem
I am alive and well. Yesterday was really hard because all I wanted to do was sleep. I could not sleep on the plane. When I got to Delhi, I could not find Amanda. She assumed that I was not able to make the flight because I did not have am visa, so she was a little of a surprise when I saw her. We than waited until her sister and husband came with their two kids, Emma (3) and Clay(5). We waited there at the airport until 5:30 and took a 6 hour train ride and a hour car ride to get to the school. All the kids were running around, being shy, and swinging from the trees. It was crazy!! I feel like I am going to be working with the lost boys. All they do is run around and there is no one to tell them what to do. After they showed me around I crashed. Today we had church and we all got unpacked. I am living with a girl named Cat, there are two girls from Germany, and than Amanda. It was not at all what I expected. We all have rooms and there is a little kitchen. The boys all live in little houses according to their ages. We live on a farm, but I thought there was going to be a big red barn, no barn, just a lot of fields. I feel like I am in the jungle. It is really warm and the sun is shining which is a blessing compared to the snow in Chicago. There is a huge chicken farm next door , so they "no" to my chicken idea, but I found a cute cat. I boys always will get her for me. Well I better go, I will send pictures. There is no way to explain this place, you just have to see it.
Pray that I am able to remember their names. I have already fallen in love with them!!
