So I have reached a big step in my adventure, I have finally realized that I am actually here. I was watching a movie and at the end when we turned on the lights I was like where am I and what is on my hands. We had a girls only party, there were almost 30 girls from the school that came over to our house from sixth to eighth grade. We had food, made friendship bracelets, and did henna. Our days are full of planning for class, grading papers, and being with the boys. It is cricket seasons so the boys practice a lot. I was playing but when the older boys practice they are very serious and they usually do not want me on their team, I get the hint. But over all it has been so fun. I have pretty much got all their names down and they do not hind under their blankets when I give them good night kisses. I thought that it was hard to put three kids to bed when I babysat but 10 little boys are a lot harder.
There are situations that are very hard to handle. I went into the office to get something and there was the cutest little girl maybe around 4 years old with a huge black eye. I was praying that she had gotten in a car accident but knew that was not the case. I later asked Frieda, who has started both the school and the home, what happened she told me that her mother had beat her. She was so small, I had no clue what she could have done to deserve this. There is no DCFS here and the police really do not deal with these types of situations. Frieda talked to the mom and said that she was crying and than said that she had a pay 200 rupees (around $4) because the little girl is at her school and that the mom had damaged school property. Frieda said that money talks here and that hopefully it will not happen again. Another hard issue is that some of the boys were born in the slums so they do not have birth certificates, they do not know their real age or birthday.
Prayer Request:
That the boys will ask questions. In India they never ask questions and if you ask someone something and they do not know it they will tell you something else just so that they do not look like they do not know.
That these boys will feel loved. There are 45 boys here and no matter how much time you spend with them there are not enough of us.
That there will be more people to come and help!
Calling all trained teachers... WE NEED YOUR HELP.

We will put your prayer requests on the list for Monday nights. Kyle came last week and hopefully will continue until he can go back to New Hampshire. Also have new couple from Vineyard, Bob and Marylin. You're doing great and it sounds like God is blessing you big time
